Job Listings

Membership in ASIFA-SF entitles you to exclusive benefits such as special events, job listings and more. Currently, these benefits are only available through e-mail notifications to current members.

Exclusive Events

In 2007 our members-only events have included a lavish reception for a Belgian composer Nic Phelps (who writes music for animated shorts), preview screenings of Shrek 3, Bee Movie and Beowulf and a screening of Oscar-nominated animated shorts (including some of their creators.) You can also expect invites to Ron Diamond's annual 35mm show of outstanding short films, 35mm screenings of features in consideration for Academy Awards, and our private parties, too!.

Karl Cohen's extensively researched and compiled print publication is one of the great perks of ASIFA-SF membership. The archive of backissues will return to the website soon.

We hope to add our own forum for feedback and discussion important to the Bay Area members. As our membership and website grows, we will offer a password-protected site for 24-hour access to these features. Stay tuned for more developments, and contact us if you'd like to help the cause!

Meet the Editor

Joe Sikoryak is an art director and cartoonist who has been an on-and-off member of ASIFA-SF since graduating from the animation dept. at San Francisco State University in 1980. Joe has worked extensively in magazines, CD & DVD packaging, and software & web design, and is completing his first animated short (under the "Sikotronic" banner) in 2008.
